The AIDS Bereavement and Resilience Program of Ontario has recently released an updated version of When Grief Comes to Work, which is a handbook for managers and supervisors who are responding to grief and loss in the workplace.

Grief and loss are frequent experiences in community health, especially for those who work with in areas such as hospice, mental health, and substance abuse. This handbook is meant to serve as a resource for managers and supervisors who are responding to personal losses that impact workers, deaths and traumatic events among clients and service users, and changes or shifts in the work environment such as new management, program losses, and expansions. It focuses on resilience-based ideas for providing support and stabilization in times of loss, change, and transition.

The handbook can be found here.
