A recent study was published that may be of interest to those who live and work in farming areas. There is a shortage of insect-eating bats due to climate change and infections such as a white nose infection. Because of this, there has been an increase in insects and thus more use of insecticides and pesticides in the agricultural system. They found that increasing the use of insecticides is in turn affecting infant health and increasing infant mortality.

The study can be found here.
